ArrowSpan’s new Wi-Fi mobile mesh solution capitalizes on the multi-radio design of the company’s MeshAP 3800 series, a carrier-class wireless access point that uses various bands for backhaul and a 2.4 GHz radio for client communications. Utilizing multiple radios enables the mobile mesh solution to provide highly reliable wireless coverage while constantly scanning surrounding nodes in order to determine channel availability and signal quality. Based on the real-time information gathered, the mobile mesh solution transparently hops from channel to channel, ensuring that the best possible mesh links are maintained at all times, despite the dynamic nature of the mesh network.
